We may have some potentially good news, as Capcom has randomly decided to file trademarks for some of their neglected, albeit quite popular, video game series like Dino Crisis and even Power Stone; suggesting that they will be developing brand-new entries for these fan-favourite series.
As reported by EventHubs, Capcom has specifically filed trademarks for Dino Crisis, Vampire(Dark Stalkers), Bionic Commando, Power Stone, Puzzle Fighter, Pocket Fighter, Super Gem Fighter Minimix, War-Zard(Red Earth), Cyberbots, and a bunch more; in fact, Capcom is reported to have filed trademarks for 50 of their classic titles.
Now, this doesn't necessarily mean that Capcom are currently thinking about either remaking or developing brand-new games, especially since there is also the possibility that the developer could be planning to re-release some of these titles in the form of a classic games collection.
With all the success that Capcom has had remaking classic titles like Resident Evil 2 and the upcoming Resident Evil 3, Dino Crisis would be the perfect fit to bring back a beloved series that hasn't seen a new entry in its series since the early 2000s.
Whatever Capcom is planning on doing with these recently filed trademarks is anybody's guess, but we just can't help but feel a little bit of hope for the developer to finally bring back some of the series that they have been neglecting for almost 20 years now. Fingers crossed.
