Capcom has just revealed their brand-new
Capcom Home Arcade plug-and-play gaming system, which will become available on the
25th of October; pre-orders for the system are currently available at the official
Capcom Store.
The system itself resembles an arcade control panel, with joysticks for two players and 8 buttons for each player, Micro USB port for the charger, and HDMI output to plug the device to an HD TV, and a USB port. Capcom has also made the
Home Arcade WiFi enabled, which will allow players to check the leaderboards and show off their own scores with the world.
The
Capcom Home Arcade also includes the 16 pre-loaded Arcade classics:
1944 - The Loop Master,
Alien vs. Predator,
Armored Warriors,
Capcom Sports Club,
Captain Commando,
Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness,
Darkstalkers,
Eco Fighters,
Final Fight,
Progear,
GigaWing,
Mega Man: The Power Battle,
Ghouls'N Ghosts,
Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting,
Strider, and
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo.
Perhaps what isn't justified is the price, which has the console retailing at €229.99, or roughly $337 USD, so this may be a good deal for collectors, but more casual players are likely not going to bother with this one.
