About a month ago, Capcom announced that the critically acclaimed Devil May Cry 5 was getting a next-gen platform release in the form of a special edition that includes a bunch of features that will keep things interesting for those who have already played the game, as well as those who have yet to experience it.
Capcom has revealed that Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will be available digitally for PlayStation 5 and Xbox One on launch day, so players won't have to wait long before they get to play this enhanced version of the original title.
Although Devil May Cry 5 was only released in March of 2019, fans were hoping that Capcom revealed some details about the almost inevitable Devil May Cry 6, but rumour has it that this will not be the case any time soon — which, again, makes sense considering the previous title is not even 2 years old.
This rumour is actually shred by reputable vide ogame insider Aesthetic Gamer, who claims that Devil May Cry 6 is several years away from releasing. When asked exactly how long, the insider reveals that it could well be more than 3 to 4 years before the game launches.
For further reference, this is the same insider that has accurately leaked several Capcom-related projects in the past, including very specific details about Resident Evil Village before it was even announced, and his sources are seemingly legitimate; track record alone proves this.
Of course, this is only but a rumour, as Aesthetic Gamer's answer is quite vague, and we don't even know if Devil May Cry 6 is even in development or not at Capcom. Then again, most of the information the insider has leaked has eventually been confirmed by the developers.
This also makes a lot of sense, since Capcom has just announced Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, and the original game, as stated above, was only released in March of last year, so a new game releasing soon is very unlikely; an official announcement, of course, could be made sooner, but we'll have to patiently keep waiting for Capcom to make it official.
