Celeste has really given players a lot to talk about; being nominated as a Game of the Year candidate for The Game Awards(although losing out to Santa Monica's God of War), and even winning Best Independent Game.

Developer Matt Thorson really outdid himself creating a challenging platformer with tight controls, interesting gameplay mechanics, and a charming story that has won over players on every current-gen platform.

Recently, Celeste developer Matt Thorson revealed that the game has managed to sell over 500 thousand copies since it was released for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam on the 25th of January; thanking players for their unconditional support.

The developer also revealed that they're currently working on a few farewell levels for Celeste, which should be ready early in 2019. Thorson does warn players, however, that these levels will not be a walk in the park as he says they are difficult. Given that the game is already a very challenging platformer, we believe him when he says the farewell levels for Celeste are "very hard".

Help Madeline survive her inner demons on her journey to the top of Celeste Mountain, in this super-tight, hand-crafted platformer from the creators of multiplayer classic TowerFall.

Celeste is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam.
