Death Stranding is considered by many to be Hideo Kojima's most ambitious project yet, which is quite the statement considering what he has done with the phenomenal
Metal Gear series, but it seems like the soon-to-release title is only the beginning of something even bigger.
In a recent behind the scenes video by BBC Newsbeat, Hideo Kojima talks about the lengthy process that was developing
Death Stranding, but the most interesting part is that he revealed that Kojima Productions could soon begin producing films.
According to Kojima himself, "
In the future Kojima Productions will start making films,"and he also added that "
If you can do one thing well, then you can do everything well."
"
I think within the next few years, gaming will move onto streaming," Kojima explains, and that is likely to create some competition between games, films, and dramas in the same space. "
I'm very interested in the new format of game that will appear on there, and that's what I want to take on," he then added.
If there is one thing that fans of Kojima can attest to, is the fact that the man really knows how to tell engaging and riveting stories, and Kojima Productions eventually producing films is definitely something worth getting excited over.
