Luigi's Mansion 3 has turned out to be one of the biggest releases of the year for Nintendo, especially since it is the first title in the series to be release on a home console since the first game released all the way back in 2001.
The one thing that hasn't changed over the years since the original
Luigi's Mansion came out, is that Mario's younger brother has always been equipped with his trusty Poltergust, and
Luigi's Mansion 3 actually introduces a brand-new model called the Poltergust G-00.
Thanks to the people over at Volpin Props we now get to see what the brand-new Poltergust G-00, as seen in
Luigi's Mansion 3, looks like in real life — as the studio was commissioned by Nintendo to make a functional prop; well, it won't suck up ghosts but it does work like a proper vaccum cleaner.
Today, Nintendo has released a video that gives us a look at the process that went into recreating Luigi's Poltergust G-00, and how Volpin Props was able to make it look exactly like the one in
Luigi's Mansion 3; revealing some interesting details about its production.
Check it out:
Wield the upgraded Poltergust G-00 to slam and blow away the ghosts’ defenses, or summon Gooigi, an all-green doppelganger that can help Luigi overcome obstacles he can’t get past alone. In ScareScraper mode, race the timer to clear various objectives on a series of floors with up to 8 players. Luigi’s Mansion 3 will suddenly appear on the Nintendo Switch this holiday 2019!
Luigi's Mansion 3 is currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
