Of the numerous villainous team-ups that happen in Marvel Comics, the Sinister Six is arguably one of the most popular. This is evidenced by how hard SONY has been attempting to get this team off the ground in basically every iteration of Spidey they've attempted so far, but until now it hasn't seemed possible. Morbius trailers featuring Michael Keaton and spoilers that mention other villains appearing in the upcoming film say that this team may finally be getting its due.
When it comes to board games, such as
Marvel United, Spin Master Games' recent Kickstarter Campaign monster is also choosing to turn their focus on the villainous team of Spider-man foes. After amassing just under $2 million and counting the most recent Expansion Pack to be announced is none other than the
Sinister Six one.
This is the sixth (coincidence?) Expansion Pack to be released by Spin Master Games for their board game. While there are many different incarnations of the dastardly team in the comic books, this one will consist of Mysterio, Vulture, Sandman, Kraven the Hunter, Electro, and Doctor Octopus. Players will get the thrill of facing all six of these villains at once just as the webbed wonder would do himself.
What do you guys think of this Expansion Pack? The Kickstarter Campaign for
Marvel United will only last for another two days so head over to the
site if you want to become a backer in time!
It’s time to become the hero you were always meant to be. Marvel United is a fast-paced, cooperative game for two to four players. Set up your Mission Board and select one of three included villains (Red Skull, Taskmaster and Ultron) to battle! Each player chooses a hero from the five included options (Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain Marvel and Black Widow) and plays their hero’s unique powers from the Hero Card against the villain.
Pay close attention to your fellow heroes’ moves and coordinate your efforts -- your powers and abilities can be strategically combined to thwart the villain’s Masterplan! If you solve your Mission and defeat the villain, everyone wins! If the villain completes their Master plan, the heroes all lose.
Marvel United provides 40-60 minutes of game play and is for ages 14+.
