Bandai Namco Entertainment could most likely be considered as one of the premier game companies to create faithful and action-packed games that are based on anime properties. One of the best examples of that idea has to be the recently released One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, which released on the PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC, this past March.
The gameplay manages to capture the power of every available character that has been featured in the series and adds weight and uniqueness to every blow. At the same time, players punch and slam their way through literal crowds of enemies. Following a style similar to Hyrule Warriors, the game lets players control a multitude of characters from the series as they capture various posts and punch hundreds of foes.
Much like the previous installments, the storyline adapts much of the anime and manga but in a more condensed version that matches the energetic pace of the game itself. Due to the enormous amount of character choices, it only makes sense that developers have been adding more and more characters with each new character pack.
For the most recent character pack, which will feature playable characters such as Charlotte Smoothie, Charlotte Cracker, and Vinsmoke Judge, the next one added to the DLC is announced to be the dinosaur shapeshifting captain, X Drake!
