Roblox Corporation, the development team behind the game sharing the same name, Roblox, is reportedly looking to pay its over 4 million developers a combined total of $70 Million for 2018, based on their contributions.  This total is much higher than its approximate payout of $30 Million last year, for its then 1.4 million creators.

The game itself revolves around its game engine, Roblox Studio, which is a game creation platform with the purpose of social networking and creativity to its core.  It is a free-to-play title with its own in-game currency, which can then be used to purchase visual items, or even support games that other users have created, which is where these over 4 million game developers get their cut from.  Many imitate and try to recreate popular other game titles in the Roblox engine, so there really is no one popular game mode for the company, thus allowing millions of dollars to be spread out amongst the content creators.

Roblox currently has over 64 million monthly active players as of 2017.  The game is available on PC, MacOS, iOS, Android, Xbox One, and Oculus Rift.
