We may have some potentially good news for fans of the
Crash Bandicoot series, as new information seems to reveal that Activision has been teasing the reveal of a brand-new title in the series. Furthermore, if history has taught has something, said game could be revealed as soon as this week.
Now, this is as much of a rumour as it is pure speculation — but YouTuber Canadian Guy Eh recently revealed that "
7 large influencers have just received Crash products with little Santa hats on them out of the blue," suggesting that some big news could be coming our way.
In the past, Activision has done the same thing by sending media influencers cryptic items that could suggest that they were working on a brand-new
Crash Bandicoot-related game.
Such is the case of last year's
Crash Team Racing rumour that sparked when Head of Communication at CD Projekt RED Hollie Bennet
received Crash Bandicoot-coloured furry dices; within days, Activision officially announced
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.
This, coupled with the fact that a rumour suggesting that a
brand-new entry in the Crash Bandicoot series has also been doing the rounds lately, adds even more fuel to the fire; exciting news for fans of Crash, for sure.
Again, while this may be a cryptic way of teasing that a new
Crash Bandicoot title is currently in the works, history tells us that Activision could be unveiling it as soon as this week. With Sony's State of Play streaming tomorrow, and The Video Game Awards kicking off this Thursday the 12th of December, chances of a
Crash Bandicoot game being officially revealed by Activision are pretty high.
