Go grab that salt, since this rumour that has been doing the rounds lately may suggest that we could be getting a brand-new entry in the
Crash Bandicoot series, as Activision and VIcarious Visions may currently be working on it right now.
The information comes from a couple of sources, both of which have been right in the past about leaks regarding the
Crash Bandicoot series and titles by other developers. Again, this is a rumour and shouldn't be taken too seriously just yet.
Now, it appears that this new game will feature an interesting gameplay mechanic that will see players taking control of both Crash and Cortex playing through the same levels, but the interesting part is that Cortex levels will revolve around setting obstacles for Crash to overcome; as if Cortex was setting up traps to prevent Crash from progressing through the levels.
With all the success that Activision and Vicarious Visions have had with the
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, it isn't too far-fetched to think that the developers have already fully grasped the concept of the classic Naughty Dog-developed
Crash Bandicoot games, and a new game based on those principles would definitely be welcomed by fans of the series.
