FALLOUT Season 2 Trailer Teases Walton Goggins' Advertising Chops Pre-Ghoul Transformation

Amazon Upfont brought plenty of exciting announcements, including a December release window for Fallout Season 2 and confirmation that the series has already been renewed for a third season. The event also included our first video promos for Season 2, teasing New Vegas as one of the show's settings.

Also shown during the Upfront presentation was a new video featuring series star Walton Goggins. The incredibly talented Goggins plays The Ghoul in Fallout, a merciless bounty hunter who has spent the past 200 years navigating the post-apocalyptic wasteland.

But as we learned in Season 1, prior to becoming The Ghoul, Goggins' character was known as Cooper Howard, a charismatic actor best known for Western films who was ultimately chosen to help promote Vault-Tec. Howard appeared at events and in commercials encouraging people to "secure their future" in vaults.

That's the focus of Prime Video's new Fallout Season 2 teaser shown at the Upfront and leaked online. The video, which unfortunately, has been removed from most channels, begins with a message for viewers to stay tuned for a special Vault-Tec presentation. We're then shown a series of clips highlighting Goggins' Cooper Howard in the pre-apocalypse. Goggins is joined by actress Amy Acker, who serves as the personal assistant to Howard as he's pushed to promote various Vault-Tec products and partnership promos like Nuka-Cola and Atomic Sunscreen.

"Whether you're kicking back in a luxury vault or sitting poolside on a hot summer's day, zap that thirst with Nuka-Cola," Howard reads on camera before taking a sip and realizing how bad it tastes.

The video then fast forwards a bit and we see Howard complaining that he's an artist, "not a corporate pitchman." While his assistant agrees, he's quickly urged to promote Atomic Sunscreen.

"Sunscreen?" he asks incredulously. "You sell underground living facilities."

Of course, he does the commercial anyway.

"Just because you're 100 feet underground, doesn't mean you've escaped the sun's harmful UV rays. Give your skin a warm grin with Atomic Sunscreen," he reads. After the take, he notes that it's probably just lotion.

The third and final advertisement is for Lucky 38, and a direct reference to the Fallout: New Vegas video game. Lucky 38 is a luxury resort and high-end casino built before the Great War of 2077. It is owned and operated by Mr. House,  a brilliant pre-war businessman and technologist.

"Christmas is a time for family. It's also a time to party your as*es off at the Lucky 38 resort and casino," Howard says. "We have high stakes poker for mom and dad and high security hotels to lock up your kids while you paint the town red."

The video then goes to a stand by message with blood splattered on the screen and cuts to a sign of Las Vegas. We see Howard as The Ghoul now alongside Ella Purnell's Lucy MacLean as they begin their trek across the radioactive Mojave wasteland. In the distance we see New Vegas with the Lucky 38 building standing tall and proud.

Fallout Season 2 will premiere on Prime Vide this December 2025.
