It's time to grab the salt, as the new rumour doing the rounds seemingly suggests that Konami's critically acclaimed Metal Gear Solid and its equally praised Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty could be making their way onto PC.
This information comes from a post on Resetera, where user Potterson — who has apparently been right about other leaks in the past — revealed that the first two titles in the Metal Gear Solid series will be releasing on PC, and that Konami will be makign the announcement official rather soon; information that was backed up by Resetera Moderator Jawmuncher.
It gets even more interesting, as the user later added that Metal Gear — the first game in the series that was originally released in 1987 — would also be getting a PC port, although the user doesn't really know if all three of these titles will be released together as part of a bundle, or individually.
Both Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty have been released on PC before, so it is more than likely that Konami would like to re-release them alongside the original Metal Gear. The last title in the series was released in 2015(no, I didn't forget about Metal Gear Survive) so it's been quite a while since Konami has done anything with the series.
Could it be that re-releasing the first titles in the Metal Gear series could lead up to a brand-new game? While this is a possibility, chances are that fans won't be too supportive of this decision given that series creator Hideo Kojima and Konami parted ways in 2015.
Whatever the case, it is important to remind you that this is information that doesn't seem to have any legitimate sources, so until Konami makes any announcements official, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and the original Metal Gear relesing on PC is nothing but a forum rumour.
