In
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, one of the thing that immediately stood out when players started the game was just how different the tone of the game was; there was no classic John Williams iconic
Star Wars theme, but there was quite the unique song playing during the game's intro.
The song in question is called Sugaan Essena and was composed by a Mongolian band called The Hu; a song, mind you, that players got the chance to hear again during the Huntsman Battle Arena halfway through the game. What stands out the most, is that the song itself does sound very alien.
Some people even believed that the lyrics were actually sung in Mongolian, but it turns out that The Hu wrote the song in Mongolian, and later used a made up language that sounded alien enough to fit perfectly within the Star Wars universe.
In a recent interview with EA Star Wars, The Hu revealed some interesting details about Sugaan Essena, how they were approached by Electronic Arts in order to compose the song, and also talk about the whole process that both the game's composers and the band wen through in order to make everything work.
EA Star Wars also shared The Hu's music video for Sugaan Essena, so we have also included it in the article, so don't forget to check it out once you're done watching the interview.
