When it finally released, Respawn Entertainment's
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order became one of the most critically praised titles in the history of
Star Wars video games. While the game does suffer from some technical issues, it has managed to rekindle the love for
Star Wars games in general.
A short two weeks after
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order released, in fact, the game had already managed to become the
fastest-selling digital launch for a Star Wars game ever, and it has now broken yet another record for the iconic space opera series.
SuperData Research has recently revealed that Respawn Entertainment's
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is now also the best-selling console digital launch in the history of video games based on
Star Wars — with an impressive 2.14 million digital units sold during the month of November.
According to the information released by SuperData,
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was able to outsell DICE's
Star Wars Battlefront II by more than 2 to 1 — which already is an impressive feat in and of itself.
The massive success in sales could be attributed to The Mandalorian also releasing in November, as well as
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order releasing a month prior to the premiere of
Star Wars Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker; the final movie in the 40-year-old franchise.
Cal Kestis—one of the last surviving members of the Jedi Order after the purge of Order 66—is now a Padawan on the run. Experience this all-new single-player Star Wars story from Respawn Entertainment and EA Star Wars on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this holiday season.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
