A couple of days ago, Electronic Arts announced that a CG short film based on Motive Studios' upcoming Star Wars: Squadrons would be released this Monday, and that this short movie would be produced by Lucasfilm and ILM.
The announcement also revealed that this short movie would introduce players to one of the ace pilots that will be featured in Star Was: Squadrons, but not much else was actually revealed; leaving everyone wondering who this mysterious pilot could be, and what their role in the game is.
Electronic Arts has kept their promise, and they've just released the action-packed, and heart-pounding "Hunted" CG short film, which actually — and quite succesfully, might I add — manages to make the Rebel Alliance look like a force to be reckoned with.
Star Wars: Squadrons will be taking place some time after the events of the Battle of Endor, and this short movie does a perfect job giving viewers a pretty good idea of the state in which the Empire is currently at after their defeat. If this is what the developers at Motive Studios have in store for players when the game launches early in October, fans will be in for quite the treat.
