The Wonderful 101: Remastered being announced by PlatinumGames is a news that took everybody by surprise. What's more, the game's Kickstarter campaign was fully funded within hours after it was anounced; a testament to the original game's greatness.
PlatinumGames also revealed that there were a bunch of stretch goals that they wanted to reach, and today the developer has revealed that every single one of the stretch goals have been reached with a staggering $2.25 million dollars.
The final stretch goal(Orchestral Recordings), would see composer Hiroshi Yamaguchi's phenomenal "The Won-Stoppable Wonderful 100" and "Tables Turn" music tracks being re-recorded with a full orchestra. Those who have listend to these tunes know just how great they are; the same can be said about the game's entire soundtrack, to be fair.
Director Hideki Kamiya has shared a special message now that
The Wonderful 101: Remastered's Kickstarter campaign has come to an end; thanking fans for their support in making this campaign a succesful one.
"Looking back, I was filled with both worry and excitement over finally getting a chance to find out just how many people were interested in a port of a game that came out seven long years ago. In the end, we got more support than I had ever dreamed of, and I think it's become a happy ending for both us and all of the backers," Kamiya said.
Kamiya also reveals that they will continue to keep working on the game, and releasing DLC for
The Wonderful 101: Remastered; hoping that both newcomers and those who already played the original game to enjoy this remastered title.
"
We still have a ton of work to do, including creating the rewards as well as the DLC, but first we want to make sure we deliver The Wonderful 101: Remastered to all of you as quickly as possible. Whether you've already played the original or will be experiencing this game for the first time, we want to work our hardest to make sure everyone can enjoy this special, unique game. Once more, we'd all like to extend a warm, heartfelt thank you to all of our beloved backers. You'll always have a special place in our hearts!"

The Wonderful 101: Remastered is really a fantastic game that many people didn't get to play on account of it being a Nintendo Wii U exclusive. The game is now releasing for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam on the
19th of May, and fans who backed the game should really pat themselves on the back for making this possible.
