Fans of Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and Thief may be disappointed to hear that the studio that developed those games will now focus on the multiplayer aspect of their games, which means all online aspects of the game such as multiplayer DLC and microtransactions will be priority from now on.

This is what head of EIDOS Montreal, David Anfossi has to say about the direction of the studio:

“At Eidos-Montréal, we’re constantly working towards creating innovative and exciting experiences for gamers everywhere. In turn, we are placing an added emphasis on the online experiences in our games, striving to continually provide players with content that is memorable and impactful.”

Funny enough, a different well-known studio, Bethesda, announced the exact opposite a week ago - basically saying that they will work towards creating great single player experiences for gamers. An interesting contrast between two studios with different views.
