When Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 was officially announced, it was actually Hollywood actor Jack Black the one to get the exclusive interview with Tony Hawk — who showed up on the special reveal episode on Black's YouTube channel JablinskiGames.
JablinskiGames, as the name aptly suggests, is Black's gaming channel, which is a weird mixture of family vlog and video game streaming but with Jack Black front and centre — so it was very fitting to have Tony Hawk making an appearance and unveiling the game to the world.
Just last month, it was revealed that Jack Black was not only the one who unveiled the game alongside Tony Hawk, but that he would also be playing the iconic Officer Dick; information that was dug out thanks to players tampering with the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 demo's files.
Jack Black playing Officer Dick wasn't really confirmed by neither Activision nor developer Vicarious Visions, but the cameo was still as official as it can be, since it was on the game's code. Interestingly enough, this isn't the first time the Hollywood actor has been in a game, since he also played the main character in Electronic Arts and Double Fine's Brütal Legend.
Recently, Jack Black himself has shared a behind the scenes video for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, where we get a look at the process that went into bringing Officer Dick back to life. To top it all off, Black also give us our first official look at gameplay for Officer Dick in the game. Not too shabby.
