The Game Awards 2019 producer and host Geoff Keighley has revealed that players around the world can expect to see some major announcements during tomorrow’s show, including 10 brand new games from acclaimed studios such as Obsidian Entertainment, Ubisoft Montreal, and BioWare, and also new trailers for Anthem, RAGE 2, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, Fortnite, and many, many more.
According to reporter Marcus Sellars, who's track record is spotty, at best, Valve will officially announce a new Portal game at the end of The Game Awards 2018. While Sellars definitely got some things right in the past (like the reveal of Spyro: Reignited Trilogy), he was wrong when it comes to Call of Duty: Black Ops IV that would’ve been set in modern times supporting the Switch, according to his sources.
Considering that Sellars is definitely not an "all-knowing' entity, it's probably a very good idea to cool your jets before you get all hyped to see a Portal game tomorrow. As a reminder, we've been waiting to play Half-Life 3 since 2006 and there's no sign of it anywhere, as Valve seemingly hates number 3 - there's a reason why Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and DOTA 2 are the last games in their respective series.
