Killer 7 is an action-adventure game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture, and initially published by Capcom, that was released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube. The game was written by Shinji Mikami(
Resident Evil,
Dino Crisis) and directed by Goichi Suda(
No More Heroes,
Fatal Frame).
In
Killer 7 players follow the story of Harman Smith, who has 7 deadly personalities, who is hunting down Kun Lan—the game's main antagonist—as he seeks to end his organisation of suicide bombers known as the Heaven Smile. Each of these 7 personalities has different skills, weapons and a unique story arc in a world that can only be described as weird. The weirdness in
Killer 7 is, actually, one of the game's most appealing features along the highly-stylised art direction.
Now, players will be able to enjoy this amazing game now that NIS America and Grasshopper Manufacture have teamed up to bring back
Killer 7 and make it available on Steam. The game was not given an official release date but it is expected to be available this Fall. In the mean time, NIS America have been kind enough to release a character introduction trailer featuring all of Harman's 7 distinct personalities.
