LINE Games has officially announced Ember and Blade, a premium action title in development for PC. The reveal came via an announcement trailer released alongside the launch of the game’s official Steam page, teaser website, and social media channels. Watch it now down below:

The gameplay and genre for it is described as a fusion of survivor-like gameplay and soulslike combat, Ember and Blade is being developed entirely in-house. While the full release is scheduled for 2026, fans will be able to get their first hands-on experience with the game in a playable demo launching on Steam in the second half of 2025. After the demo it appears that the game will be going into Early Access before it's release as well. I am sure that will be confirmed at later date.

Set in a brooding dark fantasy world, Ember and Blade follows Fenrix, a demon hunter who cheats death by forging a pact with an angel, granting him immortality. As Fenrix, players must travel through a sealed and forsaken land to prevent the resurrection of an ancient archdemon. The game promises to immerse players in a crumbling world filled with hidden lore, ancient powers, and relentless danger.

Visually, Ember and Blade leans into a subdued color palette and stylized art direction, giving it a haunting and atmospheric tone. Gameplay-wise, it’s designed to be fast-paced and action-heavy, emphasizing one-versus-many combat scenarios and intense boss battles that challenge players with complex attack patterns and reactive mechanics.

The game also features a flexible character progression system, encouraging players to explore a range of builds and tailor their playstyle. Whether you prefer heavy weapon mastery or nimble, spell-enhanced agility, Ember and Blade offers the tools to build your ideal warrior.

Support for full controller input and handheld gaming PCs ensures broad accessibility, while New Game Plus (NG+) mode adds long-term replay value. Traditional mouse and keyboard setups are also supported, making sure every kind of player feels at home.

“This is just the beginning,” said Donghyun ‘Dean’ Cho, CEO of LINE Games. “Ember and Blade kicks off what we believe will be a standout year for LINE Games. It’s one of several ambitious titles we’ll be rolling out in 2025 and 2026.”

Players can wishlist Ember and Blade on Steam now and follow LINE Games on social media for updates as the game moves closer to its first public demo.
