Amazon Game Studios' MMO NEW WORLD Shines In The First Alpha Footage

New World is the first major project of the Amazon Game Studios crew. Yes, one of the biggest online shopping companies has decided to jump on the dying MMO bandwagon. While other gaming studios are closing down servers of MMOs like Wildstar or Paragon, Amazon is aiming to finally create a game that will have a chance to compete, or even possibly dethrone Blizzard’s hit World of Warcraft
 
Ambition is one thing and the final result is another as the first official New World gameplay trailer doesn't look particularly interesting. The title is being developed by Orange County, which was formerly known Double Helix, developers that gave us Killer Instinct Xbox One remake and Silent Hill: Homecoming. The quality of New World's animation makes me think that the crew still lives in 2008.
 
The game is set in, well, the titular New World, a fictional land between Europe and America, The land is inhabited by magic and savage beats and creatures, as you can become a truly self-made man.
