Blizzard Entertainment has finally officially announced the remastered version of
WarCraft III. We heard about the project for the first time in July, when a job posting suggested that Blizzard was looking for designers who would help the developer work on
WarCraft III and other classics. Today, Blizzard unveiled the
Reforged version of the game during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2018.
According to the studio,
WarCraft III: Reforged is a complete reimagining of a real-time strategy classic. The title will let you experience the epic origin stories of
Warcraft, "
now more stunning and evocative than ever before." Blizzard has reportedly reworked every asset of the game, including every hero, unit, building, and environment, as you will discover Azeroth's fate during the solo campaign that contains 62 missions, including those that debuted in
The Frozen Throne.
Warcraft III: Reforged will be released at some point next year, and the solo campaign will be just a beginning of your new
WarCraft III journey. Blizzard has revealed that players will have a chance to create their own game modes including MOBAs and tower defense via in-game editing tools. Be sure to check out the epic cinematic trailer and the first gameplay overview for
