After years of delay, Cuphead finally appears to be locked in for a release on PC and the Xbox One. The latter is certainly hurting for some exciting exclusives in the wake up Scalebound's much publicized cancellation and this year's E3 was exactly what Microsoft needed.
Cuphead might be the most intriguing title among the many Xbox One exclusives showcased at the annual gaming convention. Stylistic visuals aside, Cuphead is a return to 2D boss-centric platform gaming from the days of when Mega Man and Sonic reigned supreme. First unveiled at E3 2014, it was originally scheduled for launch in 2016 but was inevitably delayed with seemingly no release date in sight.
Cuphead supports both local and online co-op, and will be part of Microsoft’s Play Anywhere initiative, meaning if you purchase a copy on Xbox One or vice versa, you'll receive a download code to play it on the other.
Cuphead will be available for purchase on September 29.
The all-cartoon Magical Wondergame! Cuphead will be available on September 29th for Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam! Pre-Order now on Xbox One and Windows 10!
