Two months ago,
Borderlands 3 was officially announced to the world. The highly anticipated sequel will be releasing in September for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The reveals showed off much of the game and though many players were excited, some were concerned that they wouldn't be able to play it without a persistet internet connection.
In this era of gaming, it is becoming more and more prevalent for games to simply be unplayable without being connected to the internet, especially for a looter-shooter like
Borderlands 3. For example, Ubisoft recently revealed that players won't be able to play their upcoming
Ghost Recon Breakpoint game without a constant internet connection.
Thankfully, Gearbox has confirmed to
Comicbook.com that you'll be able to play
Borderlands 3 in its entirety without being connected to the internet. This makes for a great pairing with the split-screen co-op feature.
Borderlands 3 is set to release on September 13th, 2019 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
