Details regarding Gearbox Software's upcoming PAX East panel were recently revealed wherein they tease "never-before-seen reveals and surprises." Naturally, this (in addition to countless prior leaks) ramped Borderlands 3 speculation up to an all-time high.

Randy Pitchford, the CEO of Gearbox Software, recently took to Twitter (@DuvalMagic) to address the bombardment of speculation and seeming desperation related to the highly-anticipated sequel. We've more or less known that Borderlands 3 was coming, so Pitchford doesn't bother playing coy on the topic and skips straight to the point - that being that; a new instalment in the popular franchise will be announced when it's ready.

At the same time, Pitchford took the opportunity to remind fans that a new Brothers in Arms game is also coming down the pipeline. This first-person-shooter series hasn't seen the light of day in quite a while, but that's evidently about to change.

You can check out both of the Gearbox CEO's tweets below - be sure to take note of Pitchford's use of the word "related," not to mention the pluralisation of "games in the Borderlands franchise":
