Netflix's Geeked Week doesn't officially begin until September 16, but things kicked off a bit early as the streamer revealed the official trailer for Arcane Season 2.

The highly anticipated series, which is based on the popular MOBA League of Legends, is set to return for its second season this November. Netflix hasn't yet announced a release date, though it could come during Geeked Week this month.

As for the trailer, it picks up where last season left off, with a war brewing between Piltover and Zaun. On opposite sides of this showdown are sisters Vi and Jinx (previously known as Powder). Season 1 ended with a boom, literally, as Jinx's cataclysmic attack on the Council sparked an all-out war. Leading Piltover's assault are Caitlyn Kirraman and Vi. In the undercity, Jinx has now become a symbol to rally around.

The trailer is filled with action-packed sequences and cameos from some iconic and beloved League of Legends champions -- including what looks like a possible Warwick sighting. Check out the full Arcane Season 2 trailer below and take note of the first single released from the soundtrack --  a collaboration with Ashnikko titled “Paint The Town Blue."

As previously revealed, Season 2 will be the final chapter of Arcane, though it won't be the end of stories inspired by League of Legends.

“Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche," Linke said during a previous developer update. "From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of Arcane wraps up with this second season. But Arcane is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.”

Arcane debuted on Netflix in November 2021 to widespread acclaim from critics and fans alike. The series was praised for its animation, story, worldbuilding, action sequences, characters, and voice acting. Season 1 received a perfect 100% among critics on Rotten Tomatoes with an equally impressive 96% audience score.

"Arcane makes an arresting first impression, combining a spectacular mix of 2D and 3D animation with an emotionally compelling story to deliver a video game adaptation that could become legendary," the critics consensus reads.

Here's the synopsis for the show:

Arcane tells the origin story of two iconic League of Legends champions, who just so happen to be sisters. Jinx (Ella Purnell) — also known as Powder — and Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) find themselves on rival sides of a brewing war between the utopian city Piltover and its oppressed underbelly Zaun. Powder and Vi are completely transformed by the end of the first season, as Powder becomes the mischievous Jinx and Vi proves she’s one champion you don’t want to mess with.

Arcane Season 1 can be streamed on Netflix. We still don't have a release date for Season 2, but lets cross our fingers we get one during Geeked Week.
