League of Legends fans in the US will be able to watch the biggest match of the year on the big screen. The LCS announced on October 14 that the 2026 World Championship Finals are coming to select movie theaters across the country on November 14, the same day the final is played live at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The league said ticket and location details will be shared on its channels over the coming weeks. Check out the announcement below:

The poster bills it as the Worlds 26 Championship Final Movie Theater Watch Party, live from New York, under the tagline "Experience it together in theaters." It carries the logos of Riot Games and Piece of Magic Entertainment, the distributor handling the screenings, and sends fans to the official lolincinemas.com site for tickets.

Theaters Are Already Listing Showtimes

Even though the LCS is still holding back the full list of locations, some theaters have already put the event up for sale under the name League of Legends Worlds 26 Finals in Theater. Harkins Theatres has showings at its Tempe, Arizona, and Denver locations, Emagine Entertainment has its own listing, and AMC and Cinemark theaters in Illinois and Florida also have showtimes posted. Every listing so far lines up with the 2 p.m. ET start of the final, which works out to 1 p.m. Central and noon in Arizona and Denver.

The listings put the runtime at 7 hours, which leaves room for the full broadcast around the best-of-five final. Piece of Magic's official description reads "The League of Legends World Championship Finals are back on the big screen! In this 2026 edition, 19 teams from around the world will compete for the title of World Champion, with the grand final broadcast live in cinemas." It goes on to invite fans to "Bring your friends, wear your team's colors, and join the crowd for a legendary night," and warns that seats are limited.

It's no surprise that a theater seat is an appealing option this year. Official ticket eligibility for the final is already closed, and resale listings for the Barclays Center show are currently starting above $1,500 a seat.

A Tradition Riot Has Built In Europe

Riot and Piece of Magic have been putting the Worlds Finals in cinemas for a few years now, mostly in Europe. For the 2024 final in London, fans could watch from hundreds of cinemas across more than 30 countries, from the opening ceremony through the last game. Last year, the company brought the November 9 final in Chengdu, China, to cinemas in more than 30 European countries, and it also screened VALORANT Champions the same fall.

Piece of Magic CEO and founder Caspar Nadaud said last year that "Our longstanding partnership with Riot Games has been instrumental in building esports as a growing category in cinemas." The Amsterdam-based distributor also handles concert releases, including Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, so live events on the big screen are a big part of its business.

The Road To Brooklyn

Worlds 2026 is spread across three US cities. The Play-In Stage started on October 15 at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles, with a four team, best-of-five, double elimination bracket that includes Karmine Corp, Cloud9 Kia, and MVK Esports. The Swiss Stage follows from October 23 to 31 at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, where the quarterfinals run November 3 to 6 and the semifinals take place November 7 and 8. The last two teams then head to Brooklyn for the final on Saturday, November 14, at 2 p.m. EST.

North America is sending three teams: Summer LCS champions Team Liquid Alienware, LYON, and Cloud9 Kia. They will have to get through the LCK and LPL, with T1 chasing a fourth straight world title after winning the last three. Gen.G, Hanwha Life Esports, Dplus Kia, Bilibili Gaming, Anyone's Legend, TOP Esports, and Invictus Gaming are all in the field as well, along with G2 Esports and Movistar KOI from the LEC.

Fans in New York will also have the Worlds Fan Fest at Pier 36 in Lower Manhattan, which runs November 12 to 14 with developer panels, special guests, and activations from Riot and its partners. In the game itself, this year's featured Worlds skin is True Damage Know My Name Yasuo, and the International Tournament Skin Promotion will once again let players buy skins the winning team used in the final at 33% off.

Are you planning to catch the Worlds Final in a theater with other fans, or would you rather watch it from home on stream?
