Riot Games has revealed another trait for TFT Set 14, "Cyber City." In addition to the Exotech trait, Set 14 will feature the Nitro trait.

Like Exotechs, Nitro is a trait that should be familiar. It's kind of a twist on Piltover from Set 9.5.

Nitro is a splashable summon trait. Fielding Nitro champions will summon a robot (aka a T-Hex) to battle alongside them. They will gather Chrome for their robot based on their star level. Chrome then empowers their summoned robot and eventually transforms it.

It's unclear how Chrome is generated with Nitro. With Piltover, for example, you would build up T-Hex chargers as you lose rounds and those chargers would be converted into Power, making T-Hex stronger. We don't know if Nitro and Chrome will operate similarly.

But either way, it's encouraged that you get into this trait early on so that you can keep upgrading your robot into the late game. Chrome is also a splashable trait. With only four units, you can use it to flex into other comps after activating the trait.

There's also an augment that will grant a laser-firing turret from the back line. It's unclear if this turret will also get stronger with Chrome or if it's just another standalone robot.

It's a little hard to make out all four champions in the Nitro trait, although one of them that we can confirm is Elise. Elise was revealed yesterday alongside Zeri (Exotech) and Kobuko (Cyberboss). Elise "fires lasers," the description for her teases.

Beyond Elise, it looks like Shyvana is another Nitro champion, although we're not sure what her specific champion ability is. We also don't know the cost of each of these champions, although we can assume at least two of them are 1- and 2-cost units since you want to get into this trait early to build Chrome for your Robot.

So far Riot has revealed the Exotech Trait and now the Chrome Trait. It's possible additional traits will be teased throughout the day today as Tactician's Crown unfolds. In any case, the full TFT Set 14 dev post will drop on Sunday, March 16th. Cyber City is expected to go live on April 2, 2025 with Patch 14.1; however, the new set should hit the PBE on March 19 with patch 13.8.
