As the weekend rolls on, the TFT: Cyber City details keep dropping. Today, Riot Games revealed one of Set 14's new traits, Exotech.

Only maybe it's not that new?

The new set has drawn comparisons to Inkshadow, a Set 11 trait (which was similar to Shimmerscale from Set 7).

TFT: Cyber City Exotech Trait Explained

Exotech is one of a vertical trait and one of the bigger ones in TFT Set 14. It features four breakpoints at 3, 5, 7, and 10 units. At its core, Exotech provides trait-specific items depending on the number of Exotechies you have on your board.

"It's not like our other item-bound traits," Riot explains. "There will be specific users in the trait that are best with each item. Add more Exotechies to your crew to gather the full arsenal."

Riot didn't specifically name the champions that make up the Exotech trait, but looking at the video we can see the units include Jax, Naafiri, Mordekaiser, Sejuani, Jhin, Varus, and Zeri. Unfortunately, we don't know the cost level associated with each one.

In the video below, Riot also showed off three of the Exotech weapons. There's the "life-saving" Repulsor Lantern, shown on Jax, which grants defensive stats and shields while reflecting damage back at attackers.

There's also the Flux Capacitor which charges up as you attack until maxing out and blasting your target. This looks like it's being used on Zeri.

The third item shown was the Hyper-Fangs which grants AD and Omnivamp and releases shockwaves of damage. THis was shown being used by Naafiri.

We still have plenty of questions about Exotech, such as how many total items it grants. Does every champion with the trait have a specific item? Are items granted at random with each breakpoint? Are some items reserved for the later breakpoints?

We also have questions about the champions themselves. We don't know their cost level or their individual champion abilities. We also don't know if Exotech provides any additional benefits beyond the items.

All of this and more will be revealed this weekend. The Set 14 dev drop is scheduled for Sunday, March 16th at the conclusion of the Tactician's Crown. For what it's worth, the video does reveal some additional traits and classes for Set 14 though, including Bastion, A.M.P., Brusier, Dynamo, Executioner, Marksman, Rapidfire, and Techie.
