After 10 years of a existing only as a PC title, League of Legends is finally coming to consoles and mobile devices. Releasing as League of Legends: Wild Rift, the popular MOBA game has been rebuilt from the ground up for these new platforms.

Though the core premise is still intact, League of Legends: Wild Rift will feature a new map and an intuitive twin-stick control scheme that is suitable for both console and mobile. The game has also been adjusted to allow for 15-18 minute matches as opposed to the 45 minute matches often experienced on PC.

League of Legends: Wild Rift will launch with 40 champions, which is far less than the number currently offered on PC, but Riot does have plans to add "dozens more" over time. Some of the confirmed champions include Lux, Yasuo, Garen, Jinx, Vi, Ahri and more.

League of Legends: Wild Rift will be free-to-play with alphas and betas rolling out through the end of 2019. The mobile version is expected to launch worldwide by the end of 2020 with the console version coming "sometime after." Those of you already playing League of Legends on PC will also receive a reward if you sign up for the mobile/console version with your existing Riot account.
