With so much to discover and unlock across the wizarding world of Hogwarts Legacy, it makes sense to travel with a toolkit of useful advice to make sure you get along with your fellow housemates right away.

According to the Harry Potter series, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was founded over a thousand years ago by four powerful wizards: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. They came together to create a school where young witches and wizards could learn to harness and control their magical abilities.

Each founder valued different traits in their students and created their own house to represent those traits: Gryffindor for bravery, Hufflepuff for loyalty, Ravenclaw for intelligence, and Slytherin for ambition. However, Slytherin's belief that only pure-blood wizards should be admitted to Hogwarts caused a rift among the founders, and he eventually left the school.

Revelio

  • The Revelio spell, which is essentially a free X-ray vision, should be used frequently. This spell can assist in locating nearby loot (gold), adversaries (red), quest-related objects or riddles (blue), and even the solution to hedge mazes.

Aesthetic's & Gear

  • You can find small, often accessible loot containers all across the environment. But don't ignore them; even though most of them will just be Galleons, there is a slim chance they could also be gear or aesthetic transmogs.

Field Guide Pages

  • Be sure to read any Field Guide Pages you come across because Hogwarts Legacy is filled with surprises. Others even leave hints on how to find hidden tunnels from Hogwarts to Honeydukes by casting specific spells on statuary.

Dungeon Loot Chests

  • Discover unmarked loot chests by going off the beaten route, especially in dungeons and caverns; they occasionally hold valuables that you can later sell to merchants for quick cash. In search of demiguise statues? Check Professor chambers, like Professor Fig's, and classrooms as you explore Hogwarts because there's a considerable chance you'll find some of these statues there.

Be A Door Opener

  • In Hogwarts Legacy, virtually no location is off limits because there is so much of the wizarding world to discover. Hence, if you see a door, check it out because there's a good chance you can go inside and investigate.

Keep An Eye On Your Inventory

  • When searching chests, make sure you always have room in your inventory. There's a risk that if you search for a chest with a full inventory, the chest will seal shut and you won't be able to claim the reward.
