Following the recent launch of
Yakuza: Kiwami's PC port (the critically acclaimed remake of the 2005 classic hit stores in February) and last year's PC debut of
Yakuza 0, it would make sense to expect the whole
Yakuza series might be released for PC. According to the Entertainment Software Rating Board (also known as the ESRB), that’s exactly what's going to happen, as
Yakuza Kiwami 2 is coming to PC.
While it hasn't been officially confirmed by Sega, you can take that last statement to the bank, as similar situations happened in the past when the ESRB leaked the PC versions of
NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition, Catherine, Borderlands Game of the Year Edition, and many, many more.
At its core,
Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of 2006's
Yakuza 2, continuing Kazuma Kiryu's story. The (previously?) PS4-exclusive title first released in Japan in 2017, and then rolled out globally last August.
Considering that the PC port of
Kiwami supports uncapped frame rates and 4K, you can expect to see similar features in the upcoming remake, that should be officially revealed by Sega in the coming days.
One of the most beloved storylines in the Yakuza franchise's history has returned in full HD in the Dragon Engine for PlayStation®4. Yakuza Kiwami 2 features the return of mini games like Cabaret, a revamped clan creator and the original arcade release of Virtual-On™, Kazuma Kiryu will have plenty of leisure activities when he isn't taking on his fierce rival, the Dragon of Kansai, Ryuji Goda.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 is available for PlayStation 4 NOW!
