While fans of the
Yakuza series will still have to wait until Sega and Ryū ga Gotoku finally reveal the official release date for
Yakuza: Like a Dragon — the latest spin-off title set in the world of the
Yakuza series — the game is coming out in Japan in just a few of weeks.
Since
Yakuza: Like a Dragon launches on the
16th of January in Japan, the developers have already begun releasing more gameplay trailers to let fans of the series know exactly what they're in for when they pick this new game up; keeping in mind that the combat has been drastically changed.
For those who still may not be aware of this,
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is actually a turn-based role-playing game — unlike all of the other titles in the series — and some players expecting the game to be more action-oriented may be disappointed by this fact.
The good news is that the latest gameplay trailer for the game will give fans a pretty good idea of what the combat will look like once
Yakuza: Like a Dragon finally releases, and the fights are just as over the top as one would expect from the developers — which is fantastic news for fans of the series; now all we need is for Sega to reveal the game's release date here in the West.
Check it out:
Yakuza: Like a Dragon introduces a new main protagonist for the first time since the series’ inception over a decade ago — Ichiban Kasuga, a low-level yakuza member looking to prove his self-worth, and follows him and his motley crew of unlikely allies as they attempt to rise from rags to riches in this modern human drama.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is expected to release for the PlayaStation 4 in 2020.
