DEATH STRANDING Game Director Hideo Kojima Was Stopped At Customs For His Baby Pod Prop

Hideo Kojima was stopped at airport customs when trying to enter America due to his "BB Pod" prop. Fortunately, he made it into the country in time for San Diego Comic-Con where he showed it off.

Renowned game director Hideo Kojima recently paid a visit to San Diego Comic-Con to promote his highly anticipated, upcoming video game by the name of Death Stranding. If you've been following the game's mysterious trailers, you'll know that the game's protagonist has attached to him a strange pod that contains a newborn.

Despite the amount of trailers we've gotten for the game, the pod's purpose is still unclear. That's exactly security thought when Kojima showed up with it at the airport. Apparently, the beloved game director was halted at customs when attempting to bring the BB pod into America (via Comicbook.com).

Security were confused and cautious of what Kojima was trying to bring into the country and frankly we can't blame them. As per Kojima's style, the BB pod is quite odd. As for how Kojima explained it to them, you guess is as good as mine.

However, the director eventually made it to SDCC with the pod in hand. He showed it off during his dedicated panel (as well as the game's official box art) and took pictures with it and The Last of Us star Ashley Johnson and Guillermo Del Toro (who stars in Kojima's upcoming game). Due to this picture, many now believe that Johnson may feature in Death Stranding.

If you're interested in getting your hands on one of those BB pods, they're available with the Collector's Edition version of Death Stranding.
