Kojima Productions' Death Stranding is easily one of the most anticipated video games potentially releasing this year. But while most gamers were waiting for an official release date to be announced, the developers at Guerrilla Games, who are responsible for acclaimed titles like Horizon Zero Dawn, were shown a gameplay demo for Death Stranding.

No details on the what was shown to the developers have been revealed, but whatever was displayed led many of the folks in attendance to respond with some superlatives that should make eager fans even more anxious for the game's release.

Among the extremely positive reactions to the demo, was Guerrilla Games' Mathijs de Jonge, who sent out a Tweet to express his feelings: "Very impressive what we saw today, left me speechless."

Meanwhile, lead combat designer Dennis Zopfi also responded, saying, "Can't stop thinking about what I saw today. . .intriguing, beautiful, touching, mysterious, amazing, artistic, thrilling, engaging, inspiring, masterful."

While Death Stranding may be the work of Kojima Productions, Decima Engine, a creation of Guerrilla Games, was used in the game, so sharing some gameplay was a nice gift from Kojima to the company that helped make their game a reality.
