The E3 doesn't start until the 12th of June and Sony decided to start the party early by promising to announce new games and release dates ahead of their showcase.
While some other companies may have opted out of traditional showcases and aimed for a stream in the same vein of the Nintendo Directs, Sony has decided they want to go all out and start before the E3 starts. This isn't really something unexpected, especially since they have already announced that they will be focusing on
Marvel's Spider-Man,
The Last of Us Part II, Death Stranding, and
Ghost of Tsushima—all of which have been announced for a while now.
According to the
Official PlayStation Blog, Sony will be announcing one game and/or release date since this
Wednesday the 6th leading up to Tuesday the 12th—when the E3 officially begins. These announcements will be posted on the PlayStation Blog every day at 4.00PM BST/5.00PM CEST and they have released the following schedule so that fans can know what to expect.
