Ghost of Tsushima has been on many players' radar since developer Sucker Punch and PlayStation announced it during the Paris Games Week back in 2017, as the studio promised to deliver an ambitious adventure like we haven't seen before, while also giving players the chance to immerse themselves in the beautiful landscapes of 13th century Japan.
Based on every trailer that Sucker Punch and PlayStation have released, the team of developers has done its best to make Ghost of Tsushima a game that is both a cinematic experience and a proper action-adventure title — which is to be expected, since Sucker Punch has already been delivering on both of these departments for quite a while now.
The good news is that Ghost of Tsushima is only a mere two days away from finally becoming available, and just when we think we haven't seen it all, the studio keeps releasing new trailers that make us even more excited for the game's long-awaited release.
Just yesterday, in fact, PlayStation shared an overview of the combat in Ghost of Tsushima, and today we are getting yet another overview video; this time, however, focusing on the game's massive open world, and how this world will help guide players to unique towns and beautiful environments.
Check it out:
In 1274, the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the Japanese island of Tsushima and slaughters its legendary samurai defenders. Jin Sakai is one of the last survivors of a noble samurai clan. To combat his overwhelming foes, he must pioneer deadly new fighting techniques--the way of The Ghost--and wage an unconventional war for the people of Japan.
Ghost of Tsushima is expected to release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on Friday the 17th of July.
