NO MAN'S SKY Gets It's First Major Patch
No Man's Sky has been the most controversial game of 2016. A game that was nothing but hyped up before it was released, a game that garnered so much attention for a project that was indie, a game that crashed so fantastically and so suddenly, has raised from the ashes to release it's first patch. Click the jump to see what it adds.
No Man's Sky is like the redhead child of the gaming industry. It's a disappointment, a failure, and after awhile you start to forget that it even exists. But like that redhead child, No Man's Sky is doing it's best to grasp your attention once more, and prove to you that it is useful. Thats what Hello Games is at least trying to do with their latest patch. The developers consider this patch to be the foundation for the game, which is truly sad seeing as how they made a game without a foundation, and then decided to release it way after the game was in traction.
The patch will change up the game into three different modes: normal mode, survival mode, and creative mode. So No Man's Sky is basically the space version of Minecraft, just not nearly as successful or loved. The patch will also increase the number os NPC's you'll see on your trek to the middle of the universe, as well as more plants (I'm not making this up). But you still can't see nor interact with other players in the game. So Hello Games has most certainly listened to your pleas for them to fix the game, and they've elected to ignore them.
But hey, at least these patches are free, right?
