While its most useful feature is allowing you to participate in online play, subscribing to PlayStation Plus entitles you to a variety of discounts and the like. A new set of video games are made available to PlayStation Plus subscribers every month and the best part is that they're totally free of charge (that is, beyond the initial cost of subscribing to PlayStation Plus).
In October, both
The Last of Us Remastered and
MLB The Show 19 were available to download. However, as of today, those two games are no longer free to PlayStation Plus subscribers — though, they're both obviously still available to purchase for their regular price. Instead, those who hold a membership to the service
can get their hands on both Nioh and Outlast 2 for free.
Nioh is an action-adventure game developed by Team Ninja for the PlayStation 4 and PC. The role-playing game first released back in February 2017 and a follow-up is set to debut in March of next year — making now a good time to play the first if you haven't already.
Outlast 2 is a tense horror game that was developed by Red Barrels and released back in April of 2017. It's a sequel to 2013's Outlast and is also available for the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac.
When December rolls around, both of the aforementioned titles will no longer be available for free — so partake in the discount whilst you can! To introduce the new games to PlayStation Plus subscribers,
PlayStation has put together and released a showcase video which provides a sneak peek at both of the currently free titles — you can check that out below!
