Since the PlayStation 3, users have been able to customise their home screen with colours and dynamic backgrounds. Of course, this feature carried over to the eighth generation console, the PlayStation 4, and will seemingly also be an option on the PlayStation 5. The next-generation kicks off in less than a month's time now.
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are set to launch on November 13th and 10th respectively. Despite the fast approaching launch date, neither consoles have yet revealed their user interface. However, just the other day, Burger King teamed up with PlayStation to tease a forthcoming reveal. On October 15th, we should expect the PlayStation 5 user interface to be revealed.
That will be the standard home screen, however, according to this new listing on the PlayStation Store courtesy of Dead By Daylight; dynamic custom themes will be available. For instance, a Dead by Daylight x Stranger Things theme is mentioned.
"The Stranger Things Edition of Dead by Daylight includes all the content of the Special Edition, three original chapters (Curtain Call, Shattered Bloodline, Darkness Among Us), the Stranger Things chapter, and an exclusive Dead by Daylight - Stranger Things PS5 theme," the listing reads (via PlayStation Store).
This all but confirms PlayStation 5 themes. Expect Sony to properly announce the feature during the user interface reveal that's expected to go down tomorrow.
