If you are in the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, or South Korea, chances are that you are already counting the minutes until the PlayStation 5 finally becomes available, as Sony's highly anticipated next-gen platform is hitting store shelves on Thursday the 12th of November.
The PlayStation 5 will release in other regions on Thursday the 19th of November, so it is also quite possible that you are still counting the days until you finally get the chance to get your hands on Sony's new hardware. Whatever the case, these are exciting times for PlayStation fans.
While new hardware is always nice to purchase — or smell, if you are one of those weirdos, like myself, who smell new electronics — it is the games that will make or break the console, and Sony has made sure to give players a very solid lineup of titles that will be available for the PlayStation 5 at launch.
MARVEL's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is probably the game most future PlayStation 5 owners are the most excited about playing, but they will also have the chance to play other titles like Gran Turismo 7, Demon's Souls, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure; not to mention Astro's Playroom, which is actually pre-loaded on the console.
The PlayStation 5's launch trailer showcases all of the titles mentioned above, but it is also showing off some of the games that are expected to launch in the near future, and such is the case with titles like Insomniac Games' Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Guerrilla Games' Horizon: Forbidden West; both expected to launch in 2021.
In fact, this isn't the first launch trailer that Sony releases for the PlayStation 5, but the previous one didn't really showcase any video games, so this one does a fairly better job at actually getting us all excited for the new console's release.
