Playstation Counters Xbox's Timed PLAYER UNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS Exclusive With FORTNITE: BATTLE ROYALE
Player Unknown's Battlegrounds is probably the hottest game in the U.S. right now. It will soon be making the leap from PC to Xbox One but PS4 gamers will have to wait a bit.
On September 26, a new mode for Fortnite will drop 100 players on a giant map, transporting them via a flying bus where they can exit at any point they wish? Sound familiar? That's eerily similar to Player Unknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG), the online multiplayer shooter currently tearing up the PC and Steam scene.
At E3 2017, Microsoft announced that they've made a deal with Bluehole for a time exclusive on the addictiv shooter which they will be releasing before the end of 2017. The game will also eventually be coming to the PS4 but there's not even a broad range being given for its release, making gamers speculate that it will be a while before Microsoft's timed exclusive runs out.
Over on the PlayStation blog, Epic Games' Donald Mustard is making it very clear that Fortnite's new PvP mode is directly inspired by PUBG.
