Lucas Pope has announced that indie darling Papers, Please will finally be playable on PS Vita and will release tomorrow on December 12th. Papers, Please places you in the role of immigration officer in the fictional country of Arstotzka, the title took the gaming world by storm in 2013, winning several game of the year awards.
A Vita port has been on the cards for three years but there were not many updates about any progress being made until recently. The game has certainly been a long time coming and will surely be right at home on the vita. When questioned about the lengthy development period, Pope responded by saying that there were issues with the games UI on the Vita port that had to be addressed before the game was able to launch.
At this stage there is no clear indication of how much the game is going to cost on Vita. However Pope has said that the game will cost about the same as the desktop version. The game is currently priced at $9.99 which is around £6.99 for those of you across the pond like me.
What do you guys think? Are you excited to play Papers, Please on Vita?
