The God of War franchise has been known for Its VERY strong single-player campaign, but it looks like that may change. Sony Computer Entertainment America Santa Monica is currently looking for a senior online programmer to "join the God of War team!"

Responsibilities for the lucky job seeker include "Designing and implementing systems and tools to support networking needs (such as in-game communication, client-server, match-making, leaderboards)."

There has been no official announcement regarding a new God of War title, but it looks like whatever the God of War "Team" will be focusing on next will include multiplayer in one form or another.

Does God of War NEED a multiplayer component, or will it detract from the single-player campaign? Give us your thoughts below!
