Within the world of The Last of Us, September 26th marks the day the cordyceps fungus hit critical mass. Since the game's release, Outbreak Day has been Naughty Dog's way of celebrating The Last of Us and its dedicated fanbase.
For this year's Outbreak Day, not only is everything related to The Last of Us currently 50% off in the PlayStation Store, but Naughty Dog have also unveiled a ton of new goodies themed around the apocalyptic masterpiece.
Check out all the new stuff below:
-
Firstly, the previously revealed dynamic system-theme, which features Ellie amid a forest with a rifle, is available now for free - as well as all of the character-avatars. At 12pm PT, tomorrow (09/27), all of this will revert back to its regular price.
-
Stickers for the iPhone's iMessage app, based on The Last of Us, are now available in the Apple App Store.
-
The Last of Us : Original Score - Volume One is available, in vinyl from Mondo, for preorder. The vinyl record will release in November and cost $35.
-
Insert Coin have made a T-shirt which adorns Ellie’s badass tattoo. This T-shirt is also available for pre-order, set to release in October, and costs $30.
-
Finally, Outbreak Day has brought us a cool, official poster. Hand-drawn, it features Joel playing his guitar as wolf strides up to him. Ellie has been dubbed "Wolf" by the enemies in Part II, so perhaps there's some hidden meaning to it. And, strangely enough, the poster was designed by Sam Wolfe Connelly. It costs $45 and is only available to order until September 29, 2018.
What do you think of the Outbreak Day content? Which of these items peaks your interest? Are you looking forward to The Last of Us Part II?
The Last of Us Part II doesn't currently have a set release date.
