There's no denying that the Hideaki Itsuno-directed Devil May Cry V is not only a critically acclaimed video game (currently sitting at an amazing 88% score on Metacritic), but also a best-selling one – as it has already managed to ship well over 2 million copies worldwide since its major March debut.

While you can download the free Bloody Palace DLC right now, pitting you against hordes of increasingly difficult enemies and bosses whilst racing against the ticking timer, it looks like it was the first and also last Devil May Cry V expansion. Asked by a fan on Twitter, Producer Matt Walker officially revealed that "[development] on DMCV is finished. I'd personally like to see the ladies playable too. We can only hope that at some point we can convince the people up top that it's worth doing."

Although Devil May Cry V won't get any new major DLCs, fans of the long-running slasher series have no reasons to despair, as the fifth numbered entry in the main Devil May Cry cycle is not only an excellent position, but also its fantastic sales results suggest strongly that it will be one of the most important franchises for Capcom going forward, next to their own Resident Evil and Monster Hunter.

A new demonic invasion has begun with the seeds of a demon tree being sown in Red Grave City. Now fully equipped with his trusty Red Queen and Blue Rose, and a new arsenal of rad robot hands thanks to his partner Nico, Nero must rise up to this new impossible task. With such insane amount of energy and destruction emanating from this surprise invasion, the stage is now set for the latest chapter of the “Sons of Sparda” saga.

Devil May Cry V is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC NOW!
