The past 24 hours have seen some of the most anticipated gaming reveals announced in the past ten years, thanks to the PS5 Showcase. Not only were new titles announced for the system, but so was the release date and price of the highly coveted system, which promptly crashed multiple sites due to an influx of preorders.

However, in the sea of new games that were confirmed, some modern classics were confirmed to be showing up to the PS5 with some new updates that will better suit the game's overall performance. One of these titles is the brand new Devil May Cry V: Special Edition.

With CAPCOM confirming the appearance of their hit title, multiple updates were given to the game that will boost the quality once it reaches the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Along with a  Turbo Mode, Legendary Dark Knight Mode, and Bloody Palace challenge mode, there has also been a confirmation that the game will feature improved 3D audio and ray tracing, which will significantly improve the game's reflections and lighting (a video has been posted below). However, the biggest reveal has to be the announcement of Virgil as a playable character!

While it doesn't seem like Virgil will come with any story mode additions, it is still nice to brandish the Yamato yet again, for next-gen consoles. Make sure to check out the announcement trailer below, and don't forget to share your thoughts in the comments!

Ray Tracing Overview:

Years have passed since the events of Devil May Cry 4, and a lot has happened. Young demon hunter Nero has lost his Devil Bringer demon arm… but hey! He's now heading his own branch of the demon-hunting business Devil May Cry. To make up for that lost arm, and keep his style rankings up, he's enlisted the help of expert craftswoman Nico, a brand new character in the series, to lend a hand and build different types of prosthetic arms that unlock new badass combat abilities and devastating powers.

Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition is coming to the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X on their respective launch dates!
