Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a highly-anticipated, forthcoming action-adventure game developed by the award-winning video game studio, Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is a direct sequel to 2018's Marvel's Spider-Man and 2020's Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and will be released for PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023.
The game will feature Peter Parker and Miles Morales as the two playable characters, who will team up to face a new threat: Venom. Other villains that have been confirmed to appear in the game include Kraven the Hunter, The Lizard, and Black Cat.
During Summer Game Fest earlier this year, it was confirmed that Eddie Brock will not be Venom's host once the symbiote leaves Peter Parker. Most comic book fans expect the space parasite to bond with Harry Osborn. The fact that Venom says the same line about 'healing the world' that Harry uttered just moments ago might be a dead giveaway... or a redherring.
The first Spider-Man game was met with critical acclaim upon its release in 2018. The game scored an average of 91% on Metacritic, based on 120 reviews. Critics praised the game's gameplay, graphics, story, and characterization.

As Harry Osborne, Peter’s best friend, returns into his life, and Miles looks to build his future beyond high school, the relationship between our heroes is tested and strained as the Symbiote appears to threaten them, the city, and the ones they love.
Developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games and PlayStation, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 continues the saga of the critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise.
